The mission of Verschoor Math is to provide middle school math students, educators and parents with the resources to develop or strengthen their skills in arithmetic and pre-algebra so that they are prepared for the challenges of algebra. We will accomplish this by providing the following.
Helping schools setup a robust tutoring program. This includes recruiting of tutors, training of tutors and an easy to use tutoring workbook.
Providing educators and parents with innovative techniques for teaching and/or explaining basic arithmetic and pre-algebra concepts.
Creating a collaborative tutoring/teaching community for educators, tutors and parents to share insights, problem solve, support each other and grow a community.
By accomplishing this mission we intend to ensure that students are prepared and eager to pursue STEM based classes and careers in high school and beyond.
